Over the coming days you will be bombarded with requests for donations.  While there are many, many needs and many worthwhile organizations, we ask that you prayerfully consider how God would have you invest in the lives of others what He has entrusted to you.

 

New Mexico Baptist Disaster Relief primarily relies on donations for the cost of deployments, operations, equipment, and supplies, and the ongoing support of God’s people will go a long way toward advancing the kingdom of God.

As a reminder, if you have an IRA and are taking your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) you can avoid taxes on that income by making a charitable donation to 501C3 organizations as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).  Check with your tax advisor or IRA brokerage for instructions.

 

New Mexico Baptist Disaster Relief can only exist by the faithfulness and commitment of our volunteers who step out and do the “good works” that God has prepared specifically for each of us.  So, a very heartfelt “Thank You!” to each and every volunteer who has given of themselves by serving others in need this year. 

           

Much will be required of everyone who has been given much. And even more will be expected of the one who has been entrusted with more.  Luke 12:48b
